Elderly woman robbed at gunpoint in her home

LUFKIN — An elderly woman was robbed at gunpoint in her own home Thursday afternoon.
Lufkin Police officials tell KETK, the incident happened at the woman's home on the 500 block of Willow Bend Dr. around 4:00 pm on Thursday.
Authorities say the woman opened her door to a man, who then pulled a handgun on her and forced her into her home.
The man demanded her purse and told her to lock herself in her bathroom.
The robber took the elderly woman's purse, and fled the scene.
Police say the man used the woman's credit card a few minutes later to buy gas at a nearby convenience store.
The man is described as a white man in his 30's, about 250 lbs, with dark hair.
At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a peach colored shirt and khaki shorts, and was driving a dark green car.
