The nation's emergency care system is critically ill according to a report out by emergency physicians and Texas continues to fall behind when it comes to providing medical care.

The American college of emergency physicians gave our state a C grade on emergency medical issues and a failing grade for access it provides Texans for emergency medical care.

The group says Texas has a shortage of primary care and emergency physicians and we lead the nation in the number of people without health insurance.
