FOX51 Crowns 2009 East Texas Idol

TYLER-Some of East Texas's best singers were in Bergfeld Park Amphitheater Saturday trying to become the next "FOX51: East Texas Idol."

The event was sponsored by our sister station FOX51 and hundreds of people came out to belt out the high notes.

But the judges eventually narrowed it down to the top seven and eventually crowned a new idol.

The winner was Stephen Bobbitt of Weches,TX.

Now Bobbit will head to Orlando, FL. He gets a guaranteed audition for American Idol in Orlando, FL on July 9th and free airfare courtesy of our sister station FOX51.
