Bayou Corne, LOUISIANA — Throughout the day the Louisiana State Police will be assisting Texas Brine in moving equipment needed to drill a relief well at the location of the sinkhole in Bayou Corne.

Twenty-five escorted loads began moving at 9:00 a.m. from Bosco on LA 365 and will travel south to LA 98 West on LA 98 to LA 95 south in Mire, LA 95 to I-10 east, I-10 east to LA 1 (Plaquemine exit), LA 1 south into White Castle and turn south on LA 69, then to LA 70 in Pierre Part.

The escorted loads contain drilling equipment needed for the relief well. Troopers do anticipate traffic delays along I-10 from the Lafayette area to the Mississippi River Bridge in Baton Rouge while the escort is in transit.
