East Texas Baptist University is pleased to announce the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) has approved the Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Leadership program for the Fred M. Hale School of Business at ETBU. The program will enroll its first students beginning at the start of the fall semester on August 19.

“This is wonderful news and is a testimony to the University’s commitment to providing the highest quality academic programs. This program was designed with input from faculty, administration, community entrepreneurs, and is different than most MBA programs available in this area,” said Dr. Scott Ray, Dean of the Fred M. Hale School of Business.

The business graduate program curriculum comprises 12 courses taught in accelerated eight week terms and can be completed in 16 months. MBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership students will have face to face instruction on campus enhanced with web based tools and hands on training. The 33 hour graduate degree program is designed to integrate business theory and application. The curriculum includes students creating and developing their own business concepts and plans.

Dr. Dub Oliver, ETBU President, commented, “We are excited to begin this new graduate degree program at ETBU – a program that will prepare its graduates to start and grow small businesses, the engine of the American economy. Our students will learn from excellent faculty and enjoy the mentoring of local business leaders. The result will be top notch business professionals ready to take on the challenges of the day.”

“ETBU appreciates that our accrediting agency recognized the value in our program and gave its full approval,” Dr. Ray added gratefully.
