MARSHALL, TX — One person has been hospitalized following a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Marshall ISD school bus.

On Monday afternoon, bus #85 was headed north on Fulton Street when a pickup driving west on Bowie Street plowed into the passenger side of the vehicle. The impact of the collision flipped the bus and landed on the driver's side.

Only the bus driver was injured. She was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital.

Marshall ISD spokesman David Weaver says they're "thankful no children were involved" and "hope [the driver] is okay."

According to the Marshall Police Department, the wreck is still under investigation.
