The Chapel Hill community is standing behind one of their own. Jackie Adams is a newly single mom of five children. Jackie is battling stage 4 breast cancer and her medical expenses are extensive.

Jackie receives treatment about every 3 weeks and each individual session is around $1,800 dollars. When the community found out about Jackie's situation, they stepped up to the plate, literally. Friends organized a softball tournament and the money raised paid for a year's worth of medical bills.

Saturday is the second annual softball tournament and this one is bigger than before. The team of people organizing the tournament already has double the amount of participants from last year and have been able to add tons of donations to be auctioned off. Ranger tickets, Six Flags tickets, softball equipment, and other fun items will be in the raffle and all the proceeds will go to Jackie's medical bills.

The all day event kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday morning at Lindsey Park in Tyler.
