Nacogdoches County, Tx (KETK) — Two Houston men are now residing in the Nacogdoches County Jail after a large quantity of marijuana was found in their vehicle.

Early Wednesday morning, Nacogdoches County Sheriff Deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 59 South.

When authorities came to the driver side of the vehicle they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the car.

After a search of the vehicle, deputies found over 25 pounds of pot hidden in a trash bag inside the trunk of the vehicle.

Calven Geans, 30, and Dante Trice, 28, were arrested for possession of marijuana and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

The 25 pounds of pot is valued at $33,600.

Bail has not yet been set for Geans or Trice at this time.
