ETX man arrest after assaulting, holding woman hostage

Angelina County, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas man is now behind bars after assaulting and holding a woman hostage.
Angelina County Sheriff's Office Deputies were called to home on Farm Road 2251.
Deputies were told that a woman had been assaulted and was being held hostage.
On arrival, officers saw no movement and received no response from inside the home.
After 30 minutes of attempts to make contact, deputies called in the SWAT team and they made entry into the home.
Team members rescued the woman and she was taken to a local hospital with injuries. The extent of those injuries is unknown at this time.
Authorities arrested Tito Garcia at the scene. His charges are also unknown at this time.
The SWAT team received no injuries during the entry into the home or during the arrest.

The Sheriff Dept. responded to a 911 call off of FR 2251 (Cedar Grove) about a female that had been assaulted and held hostage. Deputies arrived at the scene and saw no movement or got a response from the residence. After 30 minutes of attempts to make contact the SWAT team made entry and rescued the female of concern. A suspect was arrested at the scene by the name of Tito Garcia. The victim did have injuries and was transported to local hospital for treatment.
