ETX man arrested for burglary, sexual assault, and possession of drugs
Palestine, Texas (KETK) — On Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 3:45 p.m. officers from Palestine Police Department were called to the scene of a possible burglary in the 100 block of Edna Street.
A concerned citizen had called the police stating that they had watched a young man enter into their neighbors garage and looking through the items in the garage.
When police arrived on scene they found Andrew Deberry, 20, of Palestine inside the garage.
Upon further investigation officers found Deberry had an outstanding warrant from Houston County for Sexual Assault.
Deberry was taken into custody and found to have possession of drugs.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, burglary of a habitation, and sexual assault.
Deberry was booked into Anderson County Jail and is being held at a $45,000 bond.
