An East Texas man faces jail time after being found with a stolen firearm and evading arrest.

It happened at 10:33 p.m. Friday night in the 1200 block of Harbuck Avenue, Lufkin Police were called to the scene after they received a complaint of a man walking down the street with a pistol and waving it around.

Upon arrival, police found Terrell Rogers, 26, of Lufkin with a pistol in a shoulder holster.

Upon further investigation, police found that the firearm was stolen and that Rogers was in possession of less than 10 grams of cocaine.

Rogers attempted to evade arrest.

After a short pursuit, authorities arrested Rogers and booked him into Angelina County Jail.

Rogers was charged with evading arrest with previous conviction, possession of prohibited substance, resisting arrest search and theft of firearm.
