ETX man dies after being hit by at least 5 cars in Shreveport

Shreveport, LA (KETK) — Authorities have identified a man who died following a multiple car accident along a stretch of Interstate 220 in west Shreveport Sunday night.
Curtis Bentley, 51, of Palestine, died after his car struck a series of curbs along Jefferson Paige Road before veering down an embankment along I-220. He was struck by passing drivers after exiting his car which came to rest on the shoulder of the interstate.
Just after 11:00 p.m., June 30, 2013, Shreveport police responded to a major accident involving a pedestrian on Interstate 220 at Jefferson Paige Road. Upon officers arrival at the scene, it was learned that an adult white male had been killed after apparently being run over by upwards of five vehicles after he attempted to cross a section of the interstate.
The crash remains under investigation as authorities continue working to determine the exact cause of the crash as well as identify other drivers involved in the accident.
