Diboll, tx — In a strange occurrence, a Diboll man has died after being struck with an arrow Tuesday morning.

Angelina County deputies were dispatched to the scene located in the 100 block of Tidwell at around 8:30 a.m.

Sheriff's officials are currently investigating the death, but could not give a detailed account of what happened at this time.

The Lufkin Daily News reports the man shot himself in the chest with a crossbow.

The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification next of kin.
