The Rusk Independent School District has initiated an internal investigation immediately after receipt on December 9, 2013, of an allegation of inappropriate communications between an educator and a student.

The educator was placed on administrative leave by the School District on December 10, 2013, pending the outcome of the School District's ongoing investigation.

The name of the student, who is not enrolled in the Rusk Independent School District, is not being released.

I think it's totally wrong for a teacher to make advances of any kind toward a student. I am a teacher and that's why we have notes to send home and parent contact. Anything that's non-school related is off limits. And for those of you who still have a issue with the words "inappropriate contact" it means things of a sexual nature and frankly I don't care if its just through pics, videos, emails, etc......It's still a crime and it is wrong, and should be dealt with legally.

My daughter who attends Robert E Lee High School was also a victim of a district employee making unwatnted advances towards her but he's still working and no one is reporting on it.
