An East Texas woman died this morning in an early morning crash on Highway 2, according to Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jessica Rene Lingo, 29, of Jefferson, died at the scene of the crash that occurred on Highway 2 (Trees City Road) at Section 22 Road near Vivian.

The only other occupant in the vehicle, Phillip Ray Lilley, 30, also of Jefferson, was taken to University Health for treatment.

Lt. Michael Gray, of the Caddo Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit, said the 2004 Chevy pickup was traveling eastbound when it went off the right side of the road in a curve around six Tuesday morning. Lingo was ejected from the vehicle. Gray said they believe Lilley was the driver.
The crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Safety Unit.
