-----------------------
Smith County Fire Officials tell KETK the fire started off of County Road 239 in a residential area.
Three homes have been destroyed and one home has been heavily damaged.
Two of the homes were unoccupied at the time of the fire and the residents were able to escape the other two.
Officials believe the fire might have started after a charcoal from a grill fell on the ground and started the fire but are not positive at this moment.
The strong winds then made the fire spread quickly.
An 18-wheeler holding animal feed was also destroyed in the fire.
Evacuations are still in place.
Water tanker trucks are assisting due to low pressure and a difficult time getting water to the area.
Stay with KETK as more information becomes available.
