Ex-Miss San Antonio won't compete for Miss Texas

SAN ANTONIO — The runner-up who was briefly named Miss San Antonio before a jury restored the crown to the pageant winner has declined the chance to compete for Miss Texas.
Ashley Dixon was named Miss San Antonio after pageant organizers stripped Domonique Ramirez of the title. After Ramirez went to court and got her crown restored, the pageant named Dixon Miss
Bexar County.
Both beauty queens are eligible to compete for Miss Texas on July 1.
But an attorney for organization that runs the Miss San Antonio pageant, Ben Wallis III, says that Dixon let Miss Texas organizers know she was quitting.
Ramirez is still expected to compete for the state title.
She temporarily lost her crown in a dispute over her weight and public appearances schedule.
