FAA investigating jets' near-miss close to Bush airport

At their closest, the two airliners were about 0.87 miles apart
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a recent near-miss between airliners in the skies near Bush Intercontinental Airport.
On May 9, an air traffic controller radioed the pilot of United Flight 601 to make a right turn after takeoff.The controller then noticed the Airbus A320 was veering into airspace normally reserved for a different runway.
United Flight 437 had just taken off from that runway, according to the FAA. The two airliners were about 2 miles southeast of the airport.
