TYLER — The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Facebook is thinking about different ways they can allow younger users onto the social networking giant.
Currently, you've got to be 13 to get an account...but one survey found that nearly 20% of parents say their 10-year-olds use it.
We asked Mother and teacher Pam Craver if kids younger than 13 should even be on the site.
"Absolutely not," she said.
She says there are just too many dangers involved.
One of the options the company is reportedly thinking about is linking the kids accounts to their parents accounts.
That way parents can supervise and even control who their children can be friends with.
Craver still doesn't like the idea.
"I just think there's plenty of other ways for him to have contact with his friends, so probably not. I just think the other ways are healthier at this age," Craver said
Annquenet Hillary thinks kids should be allowed to have a certain level of privacy...but she'll still supervise her newborn son when he gets to the social networking age.
"If I think something is wrong with the person, if I see someone there with a mug shot or something like that and I seen him on the news or...most wanted or something then...it's gonna be a problem," Hillary said.
We asked Hillary what age kids should be allowed privacy on Facebook.
"They start about 8, so I mean...long as he know what he gotta do you know what I'm saying, I'm not just gonna let him get away with everything but...he'll be alright," she said.

Why on Earth would any parent allow their young children (Under 13) to go on FaceBook? I have just de-activated my account and I wont be back. I was quite surprised that certain profane language and pictorials are allowed to be used. But mostly, what you find on there is just trivial trash containing mundane facts concerning some people's lives. (What they did last night, how far they run, their favorite foods, etc.)
SO - So long FB it has not been good to know ya! I KNOW YOUR STOCK VALUE IS 0
