Fall is the best time for fishing

Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy a break from the summer heat.

Fish are much more active during these autumn months, which means even better fishing here in East Texas.

Of course the weather is the main reason for the extra stirring under the water.

But there are other factors as well, and other ways, to take advantage of this time of year.

The summer heat is hard on fish as well as the fishermen, and during that time, the fish tend to stay near the bottom of lakes.

But while they are at the bottom, that fish take that time to feed, and get bigger, and by the time they start to make their way to the top of the surface, they are much bigger prizes.

Fishing experts tell KETK, spinner baits are very effective during the fall.  this fish are more susceptible to movement, and are quicker to bite at your line.

And with East Texas being one of the best fishing areas in the country, East Texas and fall fishing just can't be beat.
