The family of Jeremiah "Jeremy" Neely, who was killed while working at a gas well just southwest of Chireno in Nacogdoches County, has hired a wrongful death law firm.

Jeremy Neely was an ex-Kilgore firefighter employed by Platinum Pressure Pumping, inc.

A high-pressure explosion resulted in Neely’s death and the injury of some of his coworkers in the early morning hours on Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Jarom Tefteller, a representative of Tefteller Law, the firm hired by the family, tells KETK that “working around a gas well or an oil well can be a dangerous business. This is especially true when you start dealing with the high pressures necessary for fracking to obtain mineral deposits from thousands of feet below the surface."

"The types of incidents are rare and do not typically happen unless something goes seriously wrong. The family has been given very little information about what happened to Jeremy at the gas well, but we will find out the truth and get justice for them.”

“Jeremy was a very outgoing and friendly guy who everyone loved that knew him. His family is devastated by his death and are frustrated that he was killed by a situation that was surely preventable.”

Tefteller Law focuses much of their practice on wrongful death, serious personal injury and major civil litigation cases across the State of Texas.

I hope that justice & TRUTH will prevail. Jeremy would give his life for anyone. This is NOT how I pictured him giving his life. As a former Firefighter & as a current safety & OSHA man, Jeremy was always prepared. he was proactive when it came to Safety measures. In my opinion, this was MORE than just an accident.

And the vultures gather!
