Fast food business robbed, 1 arrested
On 06-16-2010, at approximately 12:59 a.m., Tyler Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a fast food business in the 100 block of North Northwest Loop 323. There were no injuries reported, though an undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the incident.
A responding officer spotted a suspicious vehicle leaving the vicinity and conducted a traffic stop in a nearby neighborhood. Police recovered the stolen cash, as well as the gun used in the offense.
Arrested for the crime was Jeremiah Dixon, 20 years of age, residing in Tyler. He was booked into the Smith County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Robbery, a felony of the first degree.
