Father wants baby's killer executed

SAN ANTONIO - Earlier this week, a San Antonio woman said the devil made her decapitate her newborn baby with a steak knife and two swords.
Now the baby's father says she should be executed. He says the mother has a mental illness, but says that's no excuse for what she did.
The father says he never thought she had it in her, and he didn't think she was that crazy and demented.

It's not an "excuse"; it is a rationale. If the mind doesn't work right of course something is going to go wrong. It is like blaming a woman with a masectomy for not breast feeding a child.
The brain is another part of the body - when it malfucntions it can be as bad as ephysema or a broken spine. The brain is a scarier, more mysterious part of the body, but it's not somehow a more morally superior part. If it goes wrong, it goes wrong, like a gall bladder or spotty lung. The efefcts are just usually more devistating.
This is absolutely horrible! It breaks my heart that a mother could do this to her child. I have a 5 year old son and have been trying for over a year to have another and I just don't understand how people like this are blessed with children! I am a Christian woman and I don't question God's motives but goodness gracious what is this world coming to??? The whole mental illness notion really gripes me! YES she is INSANE! How could any sane person do what she did....however I dont' think that she should be any less accountable for her actions and she should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, even if that means execution!!
I can assure you that losing a child will devastate you in ways you can't possibly imagine.
There is something wrong with this guy.
I also don't buy that these women are sick or crazy.
I hope the remainder of her life is as short a time as possible.
There is something fishy about this father.If it had been my three week old daughter that had been killed by my wife in suck a way then I would be out of my mind.This father shows no pain.I feel more will come out of this story.
I am not condoning what this "mother" did and she should be punished but it is my understanding that both the father and other family members knew that she had some serious mental issues. I feel some other parties should also be held accountable here.
