FBI raids compound in Rusk County

On Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office in joint with the Federal Bureau of Investigations executed a federal search and arrest warrant. The warrant was executed on property located in the southern region of Rusk County on County Road 4186.
The federal warrant was the result of an ongoing Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics investigation in joint with the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Nine houses were raided simultaneously by Rusk County investigators and federal agents. Once all residences were secure, a large contingent of federal agents and Rusk County investigators executed the federal search warrant.
30-year-old Victor Hernandez Hernandez, Jr. of Henderson was arrested and taken into custody by federal agents.
The seized property included multiple firearms. If the stolen property is determined to be stolen and that property is identified by possible victims, criminal charges will be filed.
Sheriff Danny R. Pirtle wants the general public to know that he will continue his efforts in the best interest of Rusk County citizens. Additionally, Sheriff Pirtle says if you are involved in criminal activity within Rusk County, The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office will utilize any and all resources needed to arrest and prosecute anyone involved in criminal activity.
