A major Marijuana-growing operation has been discovered in Wood County.

Authorities today are cleaning it up.

The secret operation was in a secluded area of County Road 3824 near Hawkins.  At least three fields worth of the illegal plants have been spotted so far...

On Tuesday, Wood county investigator David Barber was trying to catch some trespassers on a 4-wheeler when he ran into a marijuana field on their land.

The 2 Hispanic males took off and they're still at large.

This operation consists of 2 large fields and a smaller third one.

Each field was irrigated from a central well on the property.

"These guys have been here, they've got lean-to's, they've got hammocks tied to trees, all of it's got water lines to it, they've been watering it...as a matter of fact, it was watered yesterday," said Wood County Sheriff Bill Wansley.

well you are right. it's not the pot, it's the illegals.

I could care less about the Marijuana. I am however, very concerned if the two fleeing men were illegals or not.

We have GOT to get the illegals out of our country!
