Scheduled to film in Longview May 13th

Longview — The Longview News Journal is reporting; the nation could soon see how East Texans overcome poverty.

A national film crew will be in town May 13th. Four AmeriCorps VISTA members will tour Longview and seven other communities telling the story of each communities Circles program, an initiative that leans on relationships to help families out of poverty.

Circles of East Texas has been in operation in Longview since May of 2008 and has helped some twenty families out of poverty.
