Fire Burns Family's Mobile Home, Dog slightly injured

April 25, 2009 - 3:28pm

WHITEHOUSE - A fire forces a family out of their house on Rhones Quarter Road this afternoon.

It happened at the Brookwood Mobile Home Park.

Fire investigators say something on the stove caused the fire.

by the time they got there, a neighbor had already gone in and put out the fire.

There was minor damage to the kitchen cabinets, and only one member of the family was injured.

"Their little dog had a little smoke inhalation and we used a pet mask to give it some oxygen. It looks like it's recovering," Firefighter Hector Noonyez says.

If you are a fire fighter with a department that needs these masks please contact her. She will raise the money and get you a kit. If you know of a station that you want to have a mask you can make a donation of $60 or more and request the station you want the kit sent to.
