Fire Damages Tyler House

TYLER - Fire destroys a home in Tyler today.

It happened around 6:30 this morning.

Eight Tyler fire units were called out to help fight the blaze.

As you can see, the home was severely damaged from both smoke and fire.

Officials say the fire stared after an electrical short came from an air conditioning unit traveled back to the breaker box.

Someone was at home when the fire started, but the smoke detector woke them up, and allowed them to get out safely.
