Fire destroys $75K worth of farm equipment in Longview
Longview — Farm equipment valued at $75,000 was lost early Monday when a metal barn caught fire on Longview’s far east side.
Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary said a caller alerted firefighters shortly after 1 a.m. to the blaze at 2122 E. Marshall Ave. The structure was fully engulfed, and firefighters remained on the scene through midday.
A dog was removed from the area due to the presence of smoke from large hay bales that caught fire.
