Fire destroys history in an East Texas barn
SMITH COUNTY — The fire happened around 5 o'clock Monday night on Smith County Road 189.
Fire officials tell KETK, a neighbor called 911 and woke up the 91-year-old homeowner inside.
We're told, two barns caught fire in the back of his property.
Unfortunately, the homeowner says, he lost a lot antiques in the blaze.
He, however, was not hurt.
His tractors, other farm equipment and his car were also salvaged.
