TYLER— A Tyler homeowner escapes a weekend blaze at a house on Frankston Highway. It happened at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Fire officials say an electrical short in an air-conditioning unit started the fire. It took eight fire units to put out the flames.

Firefighters say the home was severely damaged, but no one was hurt.
