BULLARD — Kiepersol is a beloved East Texas winery on FM 344...and there is a neighborhood right next to it on that county road  -- 119.

After a fire near there that happened yesterday rekindled today, the neighborhood was scared for their homes - once again.

Smith County officials tell KETK the fire threatened 12 homes, forcing evacuations of 9 East Texans on that road...and burning around 20 acres.

KETK also received reports that at least one structure was lost in the fire.

It isn't known whether that was a house or not.

East Texan Yvonne Pettigrew told KETK shortly after the fire started that she was afraid her sister's family would lose their home.

"She was not able to get anything...they evacuated her immediately and made her get out," Pettigrew said.

For Pettigrew and her family, they just had play the waiting game - not knowing how things would turn out.
