Firing up the base
tyler — From the department of redundancy department.
The president spoke this morning. He says he has a new plan for us. He wants $1.5 trillion in new taxes.
He went on to say we can't cut our way out of this...meaning taxes.
The copy was filled with class warfare going off about hedge fund managers, and basically saying we need to get from the rich.
The problem is this- we spend 3.8 trillion a year. We take in 2.6 trillion dollars.
Did I say we take in 2.6 trillion a year? Now, we let me be redundant.
We have a spending problem, not a tax trouble.
If the president got his way, we'd just spend the money he wants.
Washington never cuts back and won't until this bunch in the administration and many on both sides of the isle are sent packing.
But, the president will never get this bill passed through. And he knows it.
This whole dog and pony show is to fire up the base.
He knows he has to get them fired up to get them in the voting booth next year.
The president's base has been eroding. So, this is the new crises.
And he's just getting warmed up. He's spending wads of stimulus money. Didn't work.
Threw money at green jobs- that blew up.
The only thing he has is page one in the liberal playbook. Go after rich fat cats.
Or his definition of fat. Meaning those making $250,000 a year or more.
The reason why the economy is in bad shape is because job-creators don't trust this guy.
And the more he beats his chest, the more the job creators will keep their money in their pocket.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
