Lindale, Tx (KETK) — A new fresh eatery, Bo's Steak & Grill, just opened it's doors in Lindale. It's the first of 250 restaurants they want to open up and they wanted to start the very first one right here in East Texas.
It's right on Hwy 69 near Interstate 20. Bo's Steak & Grill just opened it's doors on May 20.
"East Texas has a piece of our heart and we're happy to be here," said general manager Jesse Onate.
"Bo's is the first of it's kind and the first in the country from a fresh, casual steakhouse concept," said corporate chef Brian Crawford.
BBQ, steaks, a fresh market salad bar, everything that they serve their customers is locally grown.
"We wanted to bring a fresh approach to the food concept and we really wanted to use some homegrown and local marketed stuff, be able to go to the farmers market on a weekly basis and bring in items. We're really big on supporting the community and try to buy as much local as we can," said Crawford.
Crawford was brought in from Dallas to help develop the food.
"We wanted to bring a traditional fare with maybe a twist to it that maybe can add a little excitement, what Bo would want if he was a real person and in here eating," said Crawford.
They wanted to create a family like, casual atmosphere for their restaurant. A modern steakhouse with a culinary twist.
"Foods bold in flavor, fun with a twist, fun to eat and kind of out of the norm but norm enough so you're not experimenting every time you eat," said Crawford.
There signature dish, .beer-canned chicken and the beer they use will be from a local brewery or a Texas one.
"I've been in a lot of restaurants, they have a lot of things I've never done. Herbs and spices, fresh, it's really made a difference," said kitchen manager Kevin Gibns.
Prices range anywhere from $8 to $15 and they also serve beer, wine and some specialty drinks.
"We are privileged and blessed to be in Lindale and we're excited to get the traffic we are getting," said Onate.
When you walk through this new eatery, you place your order, pay up front, go through the salad bar, sit at one of the country singer tables and your drink order will come in a red cup.
"We're focused on creating an atmosphere or experience like if you're in your own living room and own home. We pride ourselves on making people feel welcome and our guests feel like they're in their own backyard," said Onate.
Bo's is open Monday - Thursday from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. , Friday and Saturday 10:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays they open at 9:45 a.m. for brunch.
