Kick-off to Hometown Heroes week

TYLER - Today's 3rd Annual Veterans Appreciation Day kicks off Hometown Heroes week, a weeklong celebration starting today that honors East Texas veterans, which there are over 18,000 in Smith County alone.

In addition to the veterans that attended today's ceremony, Tyler mayor Barbara Bass, congressman Louie Gohmert and representative Leo Berman were all there.
