Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt scheduled April 21

The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will host the 10th annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 21 at Lindsey Park, located at 12557 Spur 364 West. This “egg-citing” event is open to children ages 3 to 10.

Popcorn the Clown and Tract the Clown Magician will both be on hand to provide entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. Children will also have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the City of Tyler bunny, please bring your cameras.

The hunt for 15,000 eggs will begin at 6:45 p.m. for special needs; 7 p.m. for ages 3-5; 7:20 p.m. for ages 6-8; and 7:45 p.m. for ages 9-10. There will be special “prize eggs” for each age category.

Admission is free. Children should bring their own flashlights and Easter baskets. Ages 3 to 5 and special needs children will not hunt in the dark. Parents are not allowed on the field during hunt time except for special needs group. Only one group at a time will hunt for eggs.
