Florida State beats Auburn for national championship
Pasadena, CA — Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston threw the go-ahead touchdown pass with 13 seconds left to lead Florida State to a come from behind win over Auburn, 34-31, in the final BCS National Championship Game.
Winston was 6 for 7 on that final drive.
He threw for 77 yards on that title winning drive.
The win snaps the SEC streak of seven straight national championships.
It also ended the title run for the state of Alabama.
Teams from Alabama had won the last four national championships in a row.
Until Florida State won it all.
