Brookshire Grocery and Kraft combine to help feed hungry East Texans
Tyler—
East Texas Food Bank is getting a big donation to help hungry East Texans.
Brookshire Grocery and Kraft Foods pledged one-point-two million pounds through its store donation program this year.
The program sends trucks directly to area grocery stores to pick up meat, dairy products, bread and other perishables.
The food is near its sell-by date but perfectly good to eat.
Brookshire's says without this program - much of this food would go to waste.

Dear SIrs;
I have been a giver all my life and I dont expect any freebees today. However, Me and my children are relocating to Longview Texas with pending job promises.
I am a professional but assistance for food for at least one week would assists me until I receive my first paycheck.
I really dont know much about the city other than research. I have secured a small place to stay until a later date.
If I can apply to receive some type of assistance can you please help?
I hope that I receive a message b/c the computer may be shut down due to having to relocate.
Thankyou
Pamela Clark
