WOOD COUNTY — A KETK reporter in the Quitman courthouse says former Mineola teacher JoAnn Stephens has been sentenced to 180 days in the Wood County Jail.

Stephens pleaded guilty in March to having an improper relationship with a student. She will also receive 10 years probation. If Stephens were to violate her parole, she would receive an additional 5 years confinement and would be held in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Insitutional Division.
