Four arrested in two separate Longview robberies

Longview, TX — Longview Police have arrested four people who they believe were involved in two separate robberies.
On July 18th, just before 5:30 p.m., police received a call about a fight at Broughton Park in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
When Officers arrived, they found that a man had been assaulted and robbed at gunpoint by several men.
The victim was able to identify the alleged robbers. Two of them were found near the park, and another was found hiding inside a slide.
Two of the men were identified as Tony Nelson, 18, and Bron Quivius Gray, 17, both of Longview.
The third suspected robber is a juvenile, and was taken to the Gregg Coungy Juvenile detention center.
Nelson was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon in a Weapon Free Zone.
Gray was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon in a Weapon in a Weapon Free Zone.
Four guns were found at the scene.
Another unrelated robbery happened at 11:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Marshall Ave. in Longview.
When officers arrived, they were told that a man had come into a store at that location and had lunged at the clerk from behind as she opened the cash register drawer.
The robber then grabbed the register and money as he ran out of the store.
The suspected robber was identified Eric Antonio Howard, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, was arrested a short time later at a motel near the store.
Howard was charged with Robbery and transported to the Gregg County jail without further incident.
