Four men behind bars after deputies find cocaine in their vehicle
Nacogdoches County, Texas (KETK) — Four men are now behind bars after deputies find drugs and weapons in their vehicles late Saturday night.
It happened around 10:00 p.m. on Highway 59 in Nacogdoches County on Saturday, December 28, 2013.
Deputies stopped two vehicles going northbound on the highway. Deputies noticed that both vehicles appeared to be traveling together.
Officials spoke with both parties in the vehicles and they suspected criminal activity due to their nervousness, conflicting statements, and behavior.
Deputies did a search on both vehicles and located one pound of cocaine and a stolen 9 mm handgun in the trunk of one of the vehicles.
Officers also found evidence in both motor vehicles that linked to both vehicles.
Further investigation found that all four men were conspiring to transport the cocaine from Houston to Shreveport, Louisiana.
Eddie Lee Cutlif, 27, Terrance Foster, 24, Tyler Foster, 27, and Jerrod Jackson, 26, all of Shreveport, were arrested and taken to Nacogdoches County Jail.
All four were charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Bail has been set at $52,500 each.
