SMITH COUNTY — Smith County Sheriff officials say that, although finalized arrangements are still pending, the funeral for their fellow officer who died from injuries suffered after a cow attack, will be Saturday.

The time should be decided on later today, but the services for Deputy Britton will be held at Rose Heights Church on Old Omen Rd. in Tyler.

As soon as the arrangements are finalized, KETK will bring that information to you.

Officer Britton died Monday after struggling for a week in the hospital following the tragic accident on a Bullard FM road.
