Longview, TX — A gas leak has forced people to be evacuated from two homes in the area.

Longview Fire officials tell KETK an utility contractor struck the two-inch gas main along Pegues and Noble in Longview.

Pegues will be closed from Fourth Street to Judson Road while crews repair the pipe.

A portion of Noble will also be closed.

It is unknown how long the repair will take.

No injuries reported.
