Gas prices down
IRVING (AP) — The average price of gasoline in Texas dipped slightly to $2.63 this week.
The weekly AAA Texas price survey released Thursday shows the Texas price fell an average of 2 cents per gallon, while the national average held steady at $2.81.
Despite crude oil prices rising to the $85-a-barrel range, the auto club says a larger-than-expected supply of gasoline and oil is stabilizing prices.
The cheapest prices in Texas are in Fort Worth and San Antonio at $2.59 per gallon, 3 cents less than last week in Fort Worth and 2 cents less in San Antonio. The costliest gasoline is in Amarillo, where the average price fell a nickel to $2.68.
