Gates open for 'Tops in Texas Rodeo' in Jacksonville

'Western Week' is coming up. The rodeo arena in Jacksonville is having their 51st Annual 'Tops in Texas' Rodeo on Wednesday, May 15th-18th.

It's a four day event full of entertainment and fun for everyone.

The Jacksonville Rodeo Association tells KETK, they're excited to open up the rodeo arena gates for Jacksonville and East Texas.

The Rodeo Association decided to move their annual rodeo to May than in July due to cooler weather.

Here's a look at Western Week and events ahead:

Features: saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, bareback riding, girl's barrel racing, team roping, and mutton bustin' every night.
