Gators: a fixture at Lufkin Lake

Ellen Trout Lake has it's share of the toothy reptiles
Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; when visitors to Ellen Trout Lake notice signs reading: "Alligator X-ing, Beware," they're not to be taken lightly.
The lake has been home to the East Texas native species for quite some time.
Zoo Director: Gorden Henley tells the Daily News; “We have seen hatchlings in the fall. They usually hatch out August to mid-September. They are not nesting in our lake though. I’ve gone up and down and have not found any nests,” he said. “They are nesting in a nearby body of water and are bringing their young over.”
