UT Health Northeast is beginning a series of free classes on diabetes.

The "Diabetes Empowerment Education Program" or "DEEP" seminars are intended to be an informative way for people to learn about disease.

The six sessions will be two hours each and will cover everything diabetes related.

If you're recently diagnosed, not diagnosed, or have been living with it for some time the program is meant to be for everyone.

Through the program you will:

  • Find out how diabetes affects your body
  • Make sense of your blood sugar numbers
  • Meet others who have diabetes
  • Have fun learning in a small group through games, activities, and supportive conversations.

Classes will take place Monday nights beginning June 16th from 5:30-7:30 P.M. at:

Glass Recreation center
501 West 32nd Street
Tyler, TX 75702
