Police say thieves made off with thousands of pills

Gilmer police say thousands of prescription pills were stolen from a downtown pharmacy Tuesday.

It happened at "Gilmer Drug" along Davis street.

Burglars smashed the glass front door, then took off with hydrocodone; a powerful painkiller - often sold illegally.

Gilmer Police say they're unsure how many people were involved in the crime.
