UPDATE: Gilmer police nab double homicide suspect

Officials say Miguel Angel Espinal was arrested in Hopkins County earlier today.

Espinal is being tranferred to Gilmer and will have a 1:00 p.m. arraignment.

Authorities say Espinal is an illegal immigrant and has a DWI on his criminal record.

GILMER - The Gilmer Police Department is investigating a double homicide that happened Friday between 7 and 8 p.m.

Reports say it happened here at Ervin Hill Housing Project, just off Texas 300 near Gilmer.

Investigators are looking for one man to question. He is Miguel Angel Espinal.

Espinal is 25 years old with large tattoos on both arms.

He was last seen driving a green 1993 Isuzu Rodeo, license plate number BG4F840.

This car has tape on the passenger side front window.

Police say he's known to work around the Sulphur Springs area.

If you have any information about the homicide or Espinal's whereabouts please call Gilmer police.

We did speak with the Gilmer Police Department late Saturday night. They are not officially releasing the victims' names at this time.
