East Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert and 20 other conservative House members have sent a bill to Senator Mitch McConnell warning Senate Republicans not to vote for cloture.

As stated in the message, last week, House Representatives "passed a Continuing Resolution that funds the government, prevents a shutdown, and stops Obama Care from being imposed on the American People."

However, if the Senate receives a three-fifths vote to invoke cloture, the resolution can and will most likely be removed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Cloture is defined as: The only procedure by which the U.S. Senate can vote to place a time limit on consideration of a bill or other matter, and thereby overcome a filibuster. Under the cloture rule (Rule XXII), the Senate may limit consideration of a pending matter to 30 additional hours, but only by vote of three-fifths of the full Senate, normally 60 votes.

This means if the Senate was to vote on party lines, only six Republicans would have to join the Democrats in voting to invoke cloture.

The letter also states the House members consider a vote for cloture as a vote for ObamaCare.

"Therefore, it shall be our policy to regard any cloture vote that gives Senator Reid a green light to reinstate ObamaCare into this CR the same as a vote for ObamaCare itself."

Signers of the letter include: Dave Schweikert (R.-AZ), Charles Boustany, M.D. (R.-LA ), John Culberson (R.-TX ), Steve King (R.-IA), Ted Yoho DVM (R.-FL ), Thomas Massie (R.-KY), Lynn Westmoreland (R.- GA), Jack Kingston (R.-GA), Jeff Duncan (R.-SC), Paul Broun M.D. (R.-GA ), Ron DeSantis (R.-FL), Michele Bachmann (R.-MN), Matt Salmon (R.-AZ), Steve Stockman (R.-TX), Louie Gohmert (R.-TX), Walter Jones (R.-NC), Scott Garrett (R.-NJ), Scott Perry (R.-PA), Mark Meadows (R.-NC), Tim Huelskamp (R.-KS)

You can see the whole letter in the attachment below.

The cloture vote is expected Friday afternoon.

gomer needs to stuff a sock in it, folks! All who think he's God's right hand need to take a reality check...without THE PATIENT PROTECTION AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, repub/tea swiller death panels will be a fact...elderly, the very young, the disabled, those with pre-existing conditions, young adults who are currently on their parent's insurance, will all be affected...but one knows that all of you "richies" who can afford insurance don't give a tinker's dam about those who aren't and can't.
